FIND OUT IF KCA IS RIGHT FOR YOUR STUDENT
We invite you to visit and experience The King's Christian Academy for yourself. Families and students can visit KCA in the following ways:

CAMPUS VISIT
We are happy to schedule an individual campus visit for you with or without your children. One of our admissions staff will show you around campus and answer any questions you may have. Most tours are scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. However, if this will not work for your family please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule. To set up a visit to our campus, please contact the Admissions Office at 301-994-3080 or email our Admissions Coordinator, Janeen Shane at jshane@kingschristianacademy.org.

STUDENT "SHADOW DAY" VISITS
Once you have taken a tour and decided to pursue admission to KCA, we encourage your students in grades six through twelve to spend at least half a day as a guest on our campus. Students are paired up with an KCA student who acts as their host for the day. They'll attend classes, lunch, chapel (for Wednesday shadows), and other scheduled activities. This is the ideal way for your child to experience life at KCA.
FAQ's
Q: When and where do I drop off my student to shadow?
A: Shadowing students and their parents should arrive in KCA's main office by 8:30 a.m. A member of our staff will be on hand to greet you and your child. Soon after the school days begins, your child will be paired with a Student Ambassador who will be spending the day with your student. Pick-up will be in the same location at a time of your choosing.
Q: Should I pack my student a lunch?
A: Yes, please pack a lunch for your child as well as a refillable water bottle.
Q: What should my child wear to shadow?
A: KCA students wear a uniform that consists of khaki bottoms (tailored shorts, pants, and skirts) and solid polo shirts. Your child may feel most comfortable dressing similarly with a collared shirt. We ask that shadow students dress modestly. Please no ripped jeans, jeggings, off the shoulder tops, etc.
Q: What other items should we bring?
A: Though your child will not be called on to answer academic questions, he or she is more than welcome to participate in class discussions. You may wish to bring a notebook, pens and pencils.
Q: Can I shadow a student I know?
A: Yes! If the student is in your child's prospective grade, we may be able to pair them for the day. Please let us know that you wish to be paired with a specific student so that we can do our best to honor your request.
Q: How can I schedule a date?
A: Complete the inquiry form and we'll be in touch soon!
